Meet Gryphaea, the classic Jurassic bivalve known as the “Devil’s Toenail”, from the Blue Lias at Hock Cliff, Gloucestershire, UK. This genuine fossil is the actual specimen shown, with its curved shell form, natural surface texture and matrix presented after cleaning and preparation. SKU: CF3724. As the water retreats, the first fossil shark tooth appears. A lovely moment from our Herne Bay hunt. Would you have spotted it on the sand?
