A rare Asteroceras obtusum ammonite from the Frodingham Ironstone Formation, Conersby, Scunthorpe, Yorkshire, UK, dating to the Sinemurian Stage of the Early Jurassic, approximately 195 million years ago. The specimen shows well-defined ribbing and was professionally cleaned. SKU AF0322. An unexpected little fragment in the red rock at Portishead. We take a closer look through the hand lens and describe what looks like part of a fish scale.
